Q. What happened to the old Extractor Pro software?
A. Extractor Pro software was discontinued by its manufacturer Kowabunga Technologies in March of 2003.
In addition to terminating Extractor Pro, Kowabunga has also elected to deny technical support to its existing installed base of Extractor Pro software users.As such, all existing users of the Extractor Pro software should upgrade immediately to EXP Elite so that they will have a technologically superior software and the benefit of full support.
Q. I already own an older version of Extractor Pro. Can upgrade at a discount?
A. Absolutely! When getting ready to release the all new EXP Elite we realized that there are thousands of Extractor Pro users out there "holding the bag" after Kowabunga Technologies withdrew their product.
So, we are happy to offer those users substantial discounts when they upgrade to the new EXP Elite.

Q. Does EXP Elite support Windows XP?
A. Absolutely, in fact the all new EXP Elite is built using the most current Microsoft drivers and access database. It was designed specifically for Windows XP, ME, and 98.
Q. What does the Free EXP Elite Download Trial include?
A. The free trial includes a full-functioning version of the software - with no time limit.
You're limited by the number of messages that you can send at one time. The trial limits you to 10 emails sent at a time.
Q. What happened to ask the Extractor Pro "Reply Man" feature?
A. It has been replaced in the all new EXP Elite by our unlimited "smart autoresponders" module.
This new feature allows you to set up unlimited, "smart" sequential autoresponder's that allow multiple of follow-ups with your prospects or customers.

Q. What are my options in sending my mail with EXP Elite?
A. You can choose from 3 mailing options:
1) Use the standard multi channel SMTP mailer and your mail will be sent through up to eight different channels using your ISP's SMTP connections.
2) Or you can choose to use Desktop Direct Mail Server to turn your computer into the server and using your dial-up as a simple connection to the Internet.
3) The all NEW Phantom SMTP Mailer and bypass your ISP and NOT get blocked! This is the best way to do your mailings!
Q. What kinds of files can I attach to my mailings?
A. No. At this time EXP Elite does not support message attachments and here's why.
The e-mail marketing environment today can be very hostile as more and more servers become increasingly ingress as with their spam filtering algorithms.
When you include an attachment to your e-mail message it's like waving a red flag at the spam filters asking that your e-mail be filtered.However, this does not apply to HTML mail where you have chosen to include the graphics in body of the message.
Q. Will EXP Elite help me collect addresses?
A. No, absolutely not. EXP Elite is a state of the art e-mail management program designed for e-mail list management of opt in subscribers only.
While the program will extract e-mail addresses from your existing contact manager, e-mail program, text document or spread sheet, it will not harvest or extract e-mail addresses from the Web.
Q. What is Desktop Direct Mail Server?
A. Desktop Direct Mail Server is a desktop mailing program that turns your computer into a server. This is sometimes called a "reverse DNS mailer."
You can now even send your mail through multiple ports when using the Desktop Direct mailer
Q. I have an email program that I bought a couple of months ago, and I was hoping that I might be able to use it to mail to people on my EXP Elite lists - can I do that?
A. Of course you can!
EXP Elite's list management will help you out even if you want to use one of your old programs to mail with.
Simply choose the external mailer option from the menu when you are ready to send. EXP Elite will remember which addresses you sent your message to.
Q. How many pieces of mail can I send per hour with EXP Elite?
A. The amount of mail you can send per hour will depend on which method you use to send your mail.
On average, you should be able to send 3,000 - 5,000 pieces of mail per hour PER SMTP port (also called a channel or a connection).With EXP Elite's all new "Multi-Port Mail Injection", you have the ability to connect to as many ports as you'd like (4 recommended - 8 available) - allowing you to send up to 40,000 pieces of mail per hour.
Desktop Direct uses also uses multi-port mailing, so you should be able to send 3,000 - 5,000 per hour with this method.
Q. What is "Opt-In" Email?
A. Opt-In Email Marketing is the practice of building a list of subscribers and emailing them offers, promotions, newsletters and other email messages.
The fact that the message is sent to a list of recipients that have asked to receive the messages or otherwise "Opted" to be a part of your communications is what defines a mailing as Opt-In.
