The Facts About Email Cloaking: Don't Even Think About It!!!
The fact is, cloaking as achieved by several programs on the market is ILLEGAL. If you get caught doing as they suggest you'll be breaking the law and could face heavy fines!
Many programs that offer "cloaking or stealth," do so by having you configure their software to steal the bandwidth and resources of other ISP's who you don't have paid accounts with. Legally cloaking is called "Theft of Services" and it is against the law. Need we say more?
If any software company tells you that "You do NOT need to have a paid e-mail account with an ISP to send e-mail, or says that instead of using your ISP's computer; their software uses thousands of other HIGH SPEED computers across the net to send your messages," Watch out!
"Should I "Cloak" My Identity?"
No, we don't think so.
Here's why cloaking or stealth is worthless. The sole purpose of Internet email marketing is to - SELL - something to someone you don't know. How does it appear to your potential customers if you are trying to hide your identity and real e-mail address?
What does that say about your credibility? Do you suppose the customer would do business with you or buy your product if they don't know who you are? Nope! The bottom line is if you mail using "stealth or cloaking" your potential customers will distrust you. It's just bad business.
