EXP Elite Autoresponder Setup Instructions:
First Time Users, please print out this page & follow these steps as you use the software!
After you have completed our section on setting up EXP Elite. You may want to automatically it to also handle subscribe and remove requests. With EXP Elite, this is a snap.
In this section you'll learn:
1. How to get people to subscribe or remove themselves from your list
2. How to setup an autoresponder or follow campaign
STEP #1: How to get people to subscribe or remove themselves from your list
The first step in doing this is to set up EXP Elite to work with a POP3 Email account.
If you do not have one of these accounts, see the section setting up EXP Elite and look in step 1, Internet settings.
Here we list 2 internet providers that can offer you a POP3 email account. I would recommend http://www.usermail.com since it does not offer any restrictions.
In this example we will assume you are using a usermail POP3 account.
To begin choose the Inboxes Icon:
When you do this, you'll see the following screen:
From here, choose the "Add" Button, and you will see this window:
Important: If you are using this account for only checking list subscribes/removes or autoresponders, then uncheck the box leave messages on server. This is the recommeneded way to use EXP Elite.
Once you have filled out the form, press OK.
Next we will want to test the settings we've entered. From the window you now see press the TEST Button. You will see the following screen:
If you see any message that says "-ERR", then there was an error. You may have entered your pop3 setting incorreclty. Try it again until you get a +OK Logged in. message.
Next, we will configure EXP Elite to accept subscribes and removals for our email list. To do this, press the "Next" button.
For email list removals, it is a good idea to enter the word "remove" in the subject line. For subscriptions, it is best to let any word be subscribe (the * will do this).
